Dear Sri Ranganathan,
Thank you for reading my piece on the subject-line and also for taking time out to pen your below comments on it …
Some days I wake up in the morning, follow the news around the world and while reflecting on it , I fail to make any sense of it all… Then , by afternoon , I try to process inside my head what I have read and if I am able to discern even some fuzzy pattern in it, I usually find I have found something to express in a personal blogpost of mine which could be shared with my good friends like you.
That is how my blogpost on the subject-line got written …
The subject of the digital world of make-believe and virtual-reality in which our entire world today is investing in such mammoth dimensions simply takes my breath and imagination away that I often am left wondering what kind of strange world my children and grandchildren are likely to live and work in the times to come when I’m gone and no more ..
On the subject of Metaverse ,,, you are absolutely right … it’s an evolving Brave New World whose contours and borders are mystifyingly hazy today but they also do seem to shimmer bright too like some beckoning Light on the Hill … Who knows what new paradigm of human experience it will usher in ?! Only God Almighty can probably tell … and He unfortunately is never in the habit of letting us all on into his best-kept secrets !
BTW, for your information, I came across these two URL below on Metaverse … half of which I could not understand one bit since I’m too old and old-fashioned now to keep myself abreast of the modern at times zany parlance of Digital-world investors and players … Perhaps you could read it and be able to de-encrypt it for me ?

Appreciate this piece with a lot of graphs and details.
We are entering the world of metaverse, the inexorable journey that technological advancement is taking mankind to that blurs the line between the real and the imaginary. First it was the talkies of the 1920s that abstracted people to the make believe world. I remember our servant in 1960s when she had an extra rupee would go and spend on a MGR film than buy food for her children starving at home. The video games had already invaded most youngsters and even many older people’ mind space. I have seen people in airplane continuously play the card game and various other games and be totally lost to the world the entire duration. The upcoming technology will take the gamer into the arena virtually and give a feel of actually chasing a quarry or shooting someone and what not! Next 10 years will see human like robots practically moving around and making a distinction between the real and the reel will become more and more difficult.
