I watched the YouTube link https://youtu.be/ZV5gWCNHje0 and listened to his interview by Nidhi Razdan on NDTV and just couldn’t help thinking to myself, What a prodigious talent gone to waste!
TMK about 10 years ago deserted his lawful wedded spouse, Carnatic music. He has been in a live-in relationship with political left-liberal activism ever since. He doesn’t, realise it is nothing but an illicit affair that earns him far more public notoriety rather than any genuine public adulation.
Lady Princess Diana once famously … and very poignantly … confessed to a disastrous relationship with her husband Prince Charles who was then cavorting with Camilla Parker-Bowles :
“Well, there were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded” .
I think the gracious Lady Carnatic Sangitha too — much like Lady Diana — honourably took leave of TMK many years ago.
TMK now sings songs for a different ‘crowd’.
