Pope says Catholic Church open to LGBT people, but rules apply:

By India Today via Dailyhunt
The Catholic Church is equivocating on the issue of LGBTQ rights and same-sex marriage … The Pope says “same-sex attraction is not sinful but same-sex acts are “! Now, what does he mean by that ?!
He also says that women can serve in the highest positions within the Vatican administration but they cannot serve in positions involving the performance of certain Church sacraments! Again what does that mean ? I’m clueless? 🤷♂️
The Pope says everybody is welcome to enter the Church but not everyone can become priests since there are certain laws — call them certain inviolable “sastras” — that must be abided by inside the vestry. In other words, women can’t officiate inside the church as priests.
In India, especially in Dravidian ruled Tamil Nadu, if any Acharya or Pontiff of a Hindu Religious institution (mutt, ashram or aadheenam etc.) were to come out openly declaring the same sort of Papal pronouncement or sentiment vis-a-vis Hindu temples , I can imagine the huge, angry furore and public outcry it will trigger amongst the secular, left-liberal and Wokeist-Lutyenist hordes of intellectuals, academicians, social activists and pulpit sermonisers. They would be up in arms taking cudgel against Manu Smriti, Brahminism and social and Minorities discrimination!
So, all this only makes me wonder if the Pope’s views that he himself has now made so well-known worldwide today on the subject of Churches deferring to the sensitivities of the World Wokeism Movement will also provoke the secular-liberal intellectual classes in India rise together as one and raise in one voice too their condemnation of this Pope’s almost Pharisaical if not “Brahminical” views on women and LGBTQ rights. And whether our Honourable Justices of the Supreme Court of India too will pay any any heed to the Vatican or treat it with the same disdain and dismissiveness they reserve for our Hindu Pontiffs ?
