Hi Friends, here’s my take…
Believe me, speculations about the cause or causes for the outbreak of the Wuhan-virus (I shall never call it Corona or Covid!) will pass into the annals of the medical-history of mankind in exactly the same way as the advent of Jesus Christ passed into the biblical history of the world.
(Now, for God’s sake, don’t jump up and down in holy indignation… please don’t angrily misinterpret that to be a malicious statement drawing some sort of equivalence between Christ and the Virus. Nothing of that sort … I am a man of religion and I’d never stoop to such a thing … I’m only making a general observation in rather rhetorical terms on how human beings build the foundations of absolute Faith in medical Science in ways not so dissimilar to the faith-inducing ways in which their theological Beliefs get constructed. )
To attribute the cause of the Virus to be coming out of any scientific research lab in Wuhan that we all know was indeed funded by US medical-scientists and institutions like Dr Fauci’s and which research, it is not improbable, somehow went “rogue” … now that position will always get dismissed — now and ever in future — as just “another conspiracy theory”.

Just as anyone questioning the “Immaculate Conception” of Christ will be pilloried as a dangerous heretic or apostate, so will anyone questioning Dr. Fauci , the Pope of Wuhan Labs, be called a dangerous lunatic if not idiotic “conspiracy theorist”.
The real point is no one knows … and I dare say no one will ever be allowed to know … and hence everyone in the future will eventually tire of wanting to know (since it is far less tiresome to believe in Belief than to keep questioning it) what really was the cause of the Wuhan virus ?
Whether it was “rogue research” or “immaculate conception” that gave birth to the Wuhan virus shall ever remain a matter of speculative “theories” that will seem to be either pure heresy or holy catechism depending on what your own life-preferences are: faith in the doctrines put out by scientists or faith in the beatitudes of the Pope.
