For a country where, at the drop of every religiously sentimental hat, a furious public outcry is often raised over “go-Hathya” or “cow slaughter” , I wonder how India has managed to rank 3rd on the top-10 list of global exporters of beef!
I wonder which countries of the world import beef from India ? I do know for a fact that Egypt imports significant quantities of Indian beef.
Surprisingly, China does not figure at all in this list of exporters!
It would be interesting to know which top 10 States in India contribute the most to India’s beef exports… I am willing to bet the statistics revealed would be politically explosive .
