BOOK on SRI VAISHNAVISM

HH Srimad Azhagiyasingar conferred blessings on newly released 3rd New Edition of the book “Unusual Essays of an Unknown Sri Vaishnava”, authored by Sri M.K.Sudarshan — published December 2021 by Mainspring Books (LA, USA), at Sri Ahobila Mutt , Mylapore .
The First Edition of the book was earlier published in 2016 with blessings of HH the Jeer and it was also reviewed in the April 2017 issue of Sri Nrisimha Priya (English Edition) .
The 3rd Edition of the book now includes eight entirely new chapters which were requested for by many readers abroad who were unfamiliar with the historical background of Sri Vaishnavism and the community. Hence at the request of such readers as well as publishers abroad, new additions have been included in the book in the form of a Prefatory chapter on history of Sri Vaishnavism — pre- and post- Sri Ramanujacharya, and a slew of new essays on Abheethi Stavam, Bheeshma Stuthi, on the rite of Nithya Tiruvaaradanam and Vibheeshana Saranagati.
The first edition sold about 1000 copies worldwide and the sale proceeds therefrom were contributed to Sri Ahobila Mutt.
HH Azhagiyasingar gave his blessings to the 3rd Edition and expressed hope that the new Edition will do well too and will benefit the large community of Sri Vaishnavas, Aasthikaas and Ahobila Mutt Sishyas in the Indian diaspora worldwide .
