I watched the above video-clip and it made me think :
With a little bit of help from PM Modi and other friends , Sathguru might even soon be angling for a Nobel Prize … who knows . Best of luck to him . 🙏 I for one will not grudge that.
But this is what I want to ask Sathguru-ji :
The Sathguru Jaggi Vasudev has launched a global movement to save the ravaging of soil in the world … it’s a save the environment initiative … He says earth’s soil is the earth’s soul … and the soul is being destroyed … through mass industrialisation, indiscriminate mining, mechanisation of agriculture, desertification through deforestation , mindless use of fertilisers and pesticides , river dams, lake pollution through effluent waste discharge … etc
He is mobilising the movement through direct contact with world leaders … like he’s seen doing in Riyadh in the video.
Good show , Sathguru-ji !
But only God knows if it’s really only self promotion and projection on your part … or if real outcomes will come out if it.
The Soil of the Earth is indeed its Soul . And your mission to save the soul is a crusade … You’ll need to have the right worldwide scale of operations to achieve any meaningful outcomes … even in India. To achieve that scale you will need to collaborate … with even the likes of Greenpeace International … why even little Greta Thunberg ! Do you realise that ?
Your eloquence when you speak on causes you promote is legendary , no doubt, Sathguru, but then when heard too often for too many of your pet causes over the years, such speeches begin to stale … The gift of gab can enthral some people only for a while … after that the gift only begins to seem to the gift-receiver as being vanity of the gift-giver.
When I shared my above thought with a few friends I was immediately challenged by them as follows especially by those who were Sathguru-Bhakths and “sishya-kotis”.:

I don’t spew hatred … I do like Sathguru and his work far too much to stoop to deride him . I’m not even questioning his good efforts in promoting his causes. But then I am also seeking accountability for the outcomes of his efforts … Is that wrong ? Would he not do that himself while seeking accountability from those public agencies and authorities who he himself often holds responsible for public outcomes?
I could have chosen to write an Open Letter to Sathguru about this matter … telling him that these days I just think that he is acting more like an NGO these days than a genuine spiritual guru ….But then I really do not want this all to be about him or his persona … not one bit … I’m more concerned about what he himself has said publicly that he stands for and will fight for . An Open Letter is only written to anti-national NGOs to expose or embarrass them in this country . Sathguru-ji is on the other hand a patriotic guru who sometimes only behaves like an NGO…. I will never embarrass him.
Sathguru Jaggi Vasudev started something similarly very ambitious about 3 or 4 years ago. It was about saving the Rivers in India (including the Cauvery). With Big PR fanfare it was launched as a social program and he went around the country trying to mobilise a movement through State Governments …. Please can anyone tell me what has been the real outcome of it today ?
In 2019 -20 , Sathguru again tried to launch with a big bang a citizen’s political campaign in Tamil Nadu for the cause of freeing Hindu temples from government control . He was given generous prime time-slot on many national TV channels like India Today and CNN-IBN to broadcast his clarion call. He even urged his “sishya-koti” in a Tamil Nadu to vote “only for that political party in TN that has included that cause in their election manifesto”. https://youtu.be/hKeFnbG6n7Q
None did .
Now after the elections of 2021, nothing has changed for the Hindu Temples in TN … it’s got much worse in fact ! The TN govt interference in temple affairs has got more daring and aggressive.
What does the Sathguru do about it?
He has only moved on to talk of something else … Earth Soil as Earth Soul !
And he is going global about it too … a la Greta Thunberg!
How very convenient indeed!
The Sathguru — with his vast number of sishya-kotis”, his influence within the power corridors of New Delhi Durbar, and his own magnetic personal charisma — was expected in fact by many ordinary Hindus like me to spearhead the movement in TN for freeing temples from HRCE stranglehold. But he has gone simply silent on it! His golden silence is indeed as eloquent as his silver-tongued speeches!
Before the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections Sathguru even went around promising that he would go to work with other like minded organisations on preparing a blueprint on how to implement a time-bound transition and transfer plan for the effective eventual relinquishment of all govt. control on HINDU temples in TN and restore them to stakeholder-citizenry .
Nothing has been done by the Sathguru about it now after the DMK won the elections and the HRCE is now only even more aggressive in its interference into temple administration … as witnessed recently in the “Pattina Pravesam event” of the Dharmapuram Aadheenam.
Sathguru Jaggi Vasudev is someone who only flits from one movement to another that he himself floats … But he can’t ever be compared with the likes of the Muhammed Ali bee …. Sathguru floats , yes, like a butterfly …. But seems to have no real sting as a bee . … No sir, not really.
That’s why I say that it seems to me that the Sathguru only wants to make a presence on social and mainstream media. He rides mobikes cross -country , meets the high and mighty of the world , dresses up like royalty but is constantly eyeing the headlines too …
Otherwise than what I have said above, I have really nothing against Sathguru Jaggi Vasudev-ji 👏. I know he’s certainly doing a lot of good social and community work locally in TN .
