This lady is a fine writer in English, of course, but then we know that her literary output — apart from a single much feted debut novel published 30 years ago — has been very near zero.

Her life path thereafter has taken her only on the professional trajectory of a full-time career “andolan jeevi” … a street-agitator and quixotic, celebrity “social activist” … in other words, a poster-girl for such outlandish, socially disruptive causes as Kashmir separatism, Narmada Bacchao andolan, anti-CAA unrest, Palestine, Iraq and several other such that one might describe as urban-naxalite agenda.

To the best of my knowledge, Roy hasn’t held any responsible down-to-earth job down of any kind in her life to earn even one day’s honest bread by the sweat of the brow. She comes across really as a “slum-dog’s millionairess” … if you know what I mean. Roy hasn’t given away anything in charity to the poor . She hasn’t contributed anything of any great value to any community apart from arousing them through her media and journalistic agit-prop pieces to hit the streets demanding this or the other for their grievances.

There’s truly nothing on record in the public domain that would make one be able to discover that Arundhati had built anything of any enduring value for her country or a community.

Given all the above, it thus really makes one wonder why on earth she’s today being made out by the United Nations to be such an important international figure? Why is the UNHCRC going out to bat for her? What possible interest could the UN have in an inconsequential writer-activist who has really next to nothing to show in her career as a person of any substance by way of solid achievement ? What really makes Arundhati Roy a personal of international eminence ?

Now, that’s a question that has puzzled me for many years now. And I’ve never really been able to figure out the answer.

However, I do have a prescient feeling that given the fact that the Indian elections’2024 have considerably dented if not emasculated the political voice of the entire Hindu population of the nation, Arundhati Roy is going to very soon ride the cusp of another rising wave of international popularity and recognition. H

Roy’s “andolan jeevi” star that had been fading and dimming in the last 10 years is now going to suddenly rise up once again propped up by her well-heeled and influential benefactors and powerful secret sponsors in the Western world.

I am predicting now that sooner or later and anytime within the next 5 years , Ms. Arundhati Roy is going to be bestowed the Nobel Prize for Peace.

I do not see the day being too far off when Arundhati Roy will be definitely be accolades by the Nobel Peace Prize Committee. Powerful patrons and sponsors in the leftist-neo-liberal anti-Hindu ecosystem in the West will see to it that it does happen in good time, because if Arundhati Roy gets the Nobel, wouldn’t that be an emphatic, resounding symbolic victory scored by the Western Liberalism against what’s according to its Wokeist champions India’s rising force of “dangerous right-wing Hindu fascist nationalism”, otherwise also labelled as “Hindutva” or “bharatheeya sanskriti”?
