THE HINDU 20 March 2022
The article above is not from any publication propagating anti-Rightist propaganda . It is published today in The HINDU which is regarded as a sober left-liberal national newspaper that advocates India to take a stand against Russia in the war in Ukraine.
The irony of the Ukraine War is that far from the military battlefields there is yet another raging war of words being waged between the pro-West and anti-West media sponsored international commentariat.
The pro-West commentators call the Russians’ justification for their invasion — viz. the “De-Nazification of ultra-Right Nationalist” ruling junta in Ukraine — as nothing but immoral and untrue anti-liberal propaganda. The USA and EU calls Putin’s war as Russian imperialism masquerading as anti-Fascism.
On the other hand, there are left-liberals in the West who condemn Putin as being an ultra-Right Soviet-era dictatorial Communist waging a war against the liberal, democratic order of the West.
Everyone outside Europe is so confused by all this Leftist -Rightist Nationalist Neo-Nazi “labelling war” that is going on besides the actual bloody ground war in Ukraine, that it’s impossible for them to tell who is the good guy and who is the evil one .
The Azov Battalion in Ukraine according to The HINDU report is certainly an ultra-Right Nazi militia outfit and yet it is being supported by the so-called “champions of democracy, human freedoms and liberal values and rights” of the Western world, most notably the USA. The Azov Battalion has also got covert support from right-Wing Nazi groups in Europe as well as White Supremacist groups in the USA .
So, the great irony of the Ukraine War is that both the Rightists and Left-Liberals of the Western World are co-combatants against Russia that claims it is waging a crusade against Neo-Nazis …
To my own mind, having read a more than a bit of modern Post-War European history, I tend to lean towards the Russian view of history and why it wages war against Zelensky’s Ukraine. The de-Nazification of Ukraine by Russia cannot be dismissed as either just malicious war propaganda nor as a false and fabricated war-justification.
Why ?
Because I have read Noam Chomsky’s book “HOW THE WORLD WORKS” (2011: Hamish Hamilton) in which he with impeccable source materials describes how the mainsprings of post-War US Foreign Policy in Europe as well as all over the world (a long-standing policy formulated by the redoubtable ideologue and guru of American imperialism, George Kennan (1904-2005), Ex-Ambassador of USA to Soviet Russia and Director of Planning in U.S. State Department)) are to be found in Neo-Fascism and how the policy helped establish Right-Wing Nationalist juntas in Europe, Korea, South and Latin Americas.

In Chomsky’s book , there is one Chapter titled “Restoring the traditional Order” which details how and why the USA, for several decades since WWII considered supporting Fascist rule in Europe and elsewhere since they perfectly served its own vaulting geopolitical and geo -economic interests and ambitions.
I am attaching below screenshots of 5 pages from the relevant Chapter in Chomsky’s book which I believe every student of European and American History should be at least aware of as an important slice of history … even if not too well-versed in the entire history. I am sure it will be of real interest to my blogpost readers and followers:

Now given the past history of American policy in Europe and towards Russia, I’m persuaded to believe that Russia is right in its charge against Ukraine that it’s ruling dispensation headed by Zelensky — whose military forces are in the hands of the Azov Battalion leadership— is a puppet of American Kennanites ruling the roost today in the US State Department and lording it at the White House.
